Under the corporate philosophy of “to build a warm society where every patient, especially those with diseases that currently have no satisfactory treatment, can look forward to a brighter future,” the Company recognizes corporate governance as an important management issue and is working to enhance it.
In order to achieve sustainable growth and long-term enhancement of corporate value in a changing business environment, and to gain the trust of all stakeholders, including shareholders, customers, business partners, employees, and local communities, the Company is committed to enhancing corporate governance by strengthening the supervisory function of the Board of Directors and realizing fair and highly transparent management based on the recognition that corporate governance is a mechanism for transparent, fair, prompt, and accurate decision-making.
Outline of the Corporate Governance Structure
The Company has established a Board of Directors and an Audit & Supervisory Board to ensure the effectiveness of corporate governance. The Board of Directors makes quick and flexible decisions and supervises the Directors’ performance of duties, while the Audit & Supervisory Board and its members audit the Directors’ performance of duties from an independent standpoint.
