Veritas In Silico Inc. is a biotechnology company that leverages its proprietary AI-driven drug discovery platform to create new medicines, with the goal of delivering appropriate treatments to patients across a wide range of diseases. We aim to become a specialty pharmaceutical company that responsibly delivers innovative therapies to society.
By deeply integrating AI and biology, we have established “aibVIS,” an AI drug discovery platform that enables diverse drug discovery approaches targeting mRNA—an area that has traditionally been difficult to address as a drug target. This technology, which “turns the untreatable into treatable,” enables the creation not only of nucleic acid therapeutics for rare diseases but also of small-molecule drugs for conditions affecting larger patient populations.
Small-molecule drugs have consistently remained the mainstream of pharmaceuticals due to factors such as lower economic burden on society and ease of administration. We believe that our mRNA-targeted small-molecule drugs can be provided at reasonable prices and become the medicines that meet real social needs. We are already working on small-molecule drug discovery in collaboration with multiple pharmaceutical companies and are making progress with the initial goal of entering nonclinical studies.
At the same time, nucleic acid therapeutics are among the most promising modalities at a time when addressing the unmet medical needs of rare diseases has become increasingly urgent. We are also advancing our own in-house pipelines, with our first program focused on a prophylactic drug to prevent acute kidney injury that occurs during cardiovascular surgery. To directly tackle challenges unique to nucleic acid therapeutics, we have developed our proprietary innovative drug delivery system, “Perfusio”, and are working to bring it into practical use.
In this way, although we were founded as a group of RNA experts, through intensive drug discovery experience with pharmaceutical partners we have steadily progressed toward becoming a specialty pharma company that consistently handles everything from drug creation to delivery to patients.
